Day 91- End of month three.


Today is the end of month three on this low carb diet. It’s been a rough month and I didn’t lose as much as I would have liked. I cheated way too much this month. I’m making a promise to myself not to cheat this summer. I did hit my lowest weight this month which was 42lbs lost but I cheated and then went on vacation so now I am only at 38lbs lost. That’s only 6 pounds lost this month. In June I am going to work hard to reach my goal which is to be at 50lbs lost overall before July 1st. I’m 12lbs away right now. I just have to focus and keep my long term goals in mind.

Now that we are back home I had a bunch of stuff to do. First I had to go grocery shopping for a few days. I also had to pick up some school supplies because my summer classes start tomorrow. I’m not looking forward to going back to class but I’m just have to make it to December and I’ll completely be done.

I skipped breakfast today.
For lunch I had a bag of turkey bites. 4g carbs.
For dinner I had pulled pork with sugar free BBQ sauce. 4g carbs.
Total carbs for the day 8g carbs.
Total calories for the day 1470.
Under my carb limit and over my calorie limit but still under 2000 calories.

I had no problem drinking water today. I drank 100oz of water.


Day 90- Goodbye Dallas


Well today was our last day in Dallas. It’s been a nice vacation but I’m happy to be going home. My summer classes start on Wednesday so I have to start getting ready for those. I also have to get back on track with the diet. Ive gone over on my carbs everyday since we got here. I’m terrified about what the scale is going to say when I get home.

We stopped in my husbands home town to have lunch with his mom because it’s on our way home. I feel like I made some pretty good choices at lunch. I didn’t eat any of the rolls even though I wanted to. The salad I ate had more carbs then I would have liked but I know I won’t go over my day at least.

I skipped breakfast because by the time we got down stairs the hotel staff had already out away breakfast.
For lunch we took my mother in law to a steak house. I had a salad with ranch dressing, New York strip steak, and asparagus. 12.1g carbs.
For dinner we had fajitas chicken. Mine had a little bit of cheese and sour cream with blackened seasoning. 7g carbs.
Total carbs for the day 19.1g.
Total calories for the day 1227.
I surprisingly met both of my goals today!

We drove all day today to go home. So I didnt have water on me. I did drank 116oz.

Day 89- Zoo!


I woke up this morning and felt so much better then yesterday morning! I’m so happy I stayed on track yesterday. I’m going to try and stay on track today also. I wanted to give in yesterday and eat the bread on the burger but I didn’t!

After we ate breakfast we went to the Zoo. We usually always go to the zoo when we go on trip. We love seeing the animals. It was fun but really hot. After we got back we got into the pool for a little bit before it started raining.

For breakfast I had scrambled eggs and a sausage patty. 3.3g carbs.
For lunch I had a bacon ultimate cheeseburger from Jack in the box. No bun and no ketchup. 2g carbs.
For dinner I had a New York strip with veggies (broccoli and green beans)  and a salad with ranch dressing. I don’t know exactly how many carbs the green beans had but it was  a lot more then I thought they would be. I just guessed. 16.4g carbs.
Total carbs for the day  21.7g.
Total calories for the day 2818.
Over my carbs limit by 1.7g and way over my calorie limit but it’s vacation I can splurge!

I tried to drink as much water as I could today so I don’t retain any water when I get home and weigh myself. I drank a little over 100oz.

Day 88- Not slipping up anymore!


I felt completely horrible this morning when I woke up. Everytime I eat pizza I feel like crap that night and the next day. My stomach was killing me all night last night. Why do I keep doing this to myself? Not anymore. From now on I am stay on track as much as possible. I tried as hard as I could today to stay on track. I think I did an okay job.

Me and my husband had a fun day today. We went to an aquarium and saw a bunch of animals. Then we walked around a huge mall. Then went and saw the new Captain America movie. It was really good! I did a ton of walking today for exercise. I felt pretty good today overall!

I skipped breakfast today.
For a snack I had beef jerky. 6g carbs.
For lunch we had chipotle. I had a chicken bowl,  no rice, no beans with salsa, cheese and guacamole. 7.1g carbs.
For dinner I had 2 extra long cheese burgers, no bun, no tomatoes, no ketchup. 7.9g carbs.
Total carbs for the day 21g.
Total calories for the day 1374.
Over my carbs goal by 1g and over my calorie goal by 74. No bad at all considering we had fastfood!

I did not drink nearly enough water yesterday. My mouth was so dry last night it was awful. I have managed to drink 50oz of water so far. I’m working on another 50oz bottle right now.

Day 87- No gain or loss


I weighed myself this morning and as I thought I weigh the same as I did last Friday. I’m not too mad about it because a couple days ago I was up 7lbs.

I had a lot of fun today. Me and my husband went exploring. We also went to Dave and busters which I absolutely love that place. We also got to go swimming.

For breakfast I had turkey bacon. 0g carbs.
For lunch we went to Dave and busters. I had bacon wrapped sirloin. 0g carbs.
For dinner we had pizza. I decided to give in a little since we are on vacation but I am going to stay on track while we are here. I also had a few drinks.
I know I went way over my carbs and calorie limit today.

I did manage to drink 70oz of water today.

I will definitely do better tomorrow! I’m determined not to gain a lot of weight over this vacation!

Day 86- Hectic day!


Today has been very hectic! Our while vacation plans had to change because of a little hiccup that happened. So we are not going to the beach sadly. We will eventually! I also got locked out of the house this morning. My car key and house  key were inside the house after I locked it! Me and my husband had to walk to the realty place to borrow a key. Luckily we only live a block away so it wasn’t too bad. We finally got back in the house. I hope tomorrow will be better.

Today I just need to finish picking up the house and my husband is doing yard work. My sister and niece are coming over tomorrow to hang out and watch movies.

For breakfast I had turkey bacon. 0g carbs.
For lunch I had turkey sausage links. 4g carbs.
For dinner we had baked chicken with sugar free BBQ sauce. Travis had his with a little bit of Alfredo sauce. 4g carbs.
Total carbs for the day 8g.
Total calories for the day 1475.
Way under my carb goal and only 175 calories over my calorie goal. Not a bad day!

I didn’t start drinking water until the afternoon. So much happened this morning I just completely forgot! I have managed to drink 50oz of water so far. I’m going to try to get to 100oz before bed.

I’m nervous about tomorrow because it’s weigh in day and I know I probably haven’t lost at all this week. I would even be happy with just a pound lost! I feel like I’m back on track now.

Day 85- Moving forward!


I feel much better then I did yesterday. My weight has gone down a little bit but it’s not to where it was. I think I was just retaining water. I’m just going to move forward from here. I just want to do well on this diet because it has been working for me. I don’t want to get back to where I was ever again. I’m done being overweight.

Me and my husband are going on vacation soon and I think it will be good for me. I just need to get away from the scale and constant worry of gaining weight. I’m not going to cheat over vacation. I know I probably won’t make my calorie goal because we will have to eat out but I will definitely make my carb goal.

Today I spent all getting ready for vacation. I had to vacuum my car out and get an oil change. I also had to do laundry so I could start packing. I also had to spend today and also tomorrow baby proofing the house because my sister and the baby are staying here for the weekend.

For breakfast I had turkey bacon. 0g carbs.
For lunch I had a hard boiled egg, ham, and turkey salad with blue cheese dressing.  5g carbs.
For dinner I had ground turkey with sugar free BBQ sauce and a little bit of hit sauce. 2g carbs.
Total carbs for the day 7g.
Total calories for the day 1350.
Way under my carbs goal and just 50 calories over my calorie goal. Not a bad day compared to what I have been eating.

So far I have drank 60oz of water today. I am going to get to at least 100oz before I go to bed.
